Business Development Director

4c is working in partnership with a customer-focused, privately owned, facilities management company who is market leader for a wide range of outsourced services in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and GB as they seek to appoint a new Business Development Director.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Director will lead a high performing Business Development team, creating and implementing the strategic vision and growth plans for Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will support the leadership team in generating growth by delivering a sustainable and profitable business win rate whilst also achieving high retention of key accounts.

The Business Development Director will be a credible and successful professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role will suit an individual with a keen eye for detail and a natural networker with a track record of building and maintaining strong, professional, and long lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Business Development Director will have:

• Significant experience in senior sales or Business Development roles with a proven track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities coupled with strong experience of driving retention through developing and maintaining exceptional customer relationship.
• Demonstrable experience of leading, managing and developing a high performing sales or Business Development department.
• Proven experience of pipeline development, creating and delivering profitable, sustainable partnerships which will drive growth for the business.
• Experience of leading and managing tender planning schedules and complete bid documents.
• A successful track record of operating at a strategic level, building strong value-based management
• 3rd level qualification in related discipline or equivalent.

It is also desirable that the candidate possesses:

• Demonstrable experience within the support services industry.
