Business Development ExecutiveMedical/Clinical

 

Location:           Home office based (ideally Greater London/SE England)

Territory:            London & South East with occasional travel further afield to service the entire UK)

Remuneration:   Negotiable based on skills and experience (£50-60K ote)

 

Are you an experienced Medical Sales Rep who is looking for a fresh & difference challenge away from a traditional rep job?

 

An innovative supplier of services to the medical and healthcare sector is looking for a Business Developer to establish relationships with private clinical practices and consultants as well as with NHS (secondary care). The target will be fertility, maternity and prenatal clinics and specialists both within the NHS and across the private medical domain.

 

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be joining an innovative organisation that offers potentially life changing safeguarding services to the maternity/prenatal/fertility & Obstetric market. You will be networking with private clinical practices, consultants and the NHS to establish partnerships and referral opportunities for the services our clients sells. The role will involve educating as well as negotiating contracts with practices to promote the company’s services. The company has an established CRM of clinics and KOL’s and are looking for a sales focused individual with a background in medical/Health related sales to capitalise on opportunities. This could be an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in medical related sales to take on a new and innovative challenge.

 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

 

  • Through face to face meetings and telephone/video calls, develop relationships with key opinion leaders and influencers
  • Work with the private hospital/Medical sector to negotiate resellers & refers agreements
  • Build relationships with NHS trusts to provide sample storage services
  • Develop positive relationships with clinicians and KOL’s within the sector to acquire referrals
  • Identify additional sales channels (medical insurance, employee benefit & private healthcare schemes)

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

  • Ideally degree qualified or equivalent experience within a professional and related work environment (ie NHS, sales, private medical practice)
  • Proven experience in Medical/Healthcare or Pharmaceutical Sales
  • An out-going and positive attitude; somebody who enjoys prospecting for new business
  • Strong relationship builder and able to close sales
  • Ability to understand medical and scientific technical concepts and articulate this with potential customers and partners
  • Good IT skills with experience of using CRM’s or databases

 

This role will be field based and you’ll be expected to be out with customers on a regular basis (~3+ days per week). The main focus of the territory will be clinics within the London and SE territory but occasionally you’ll be going to regional clinics typically located in major cities across the whole of the UK.

 

 

Applicants must have the RTW in the UK along with a full UK driving Licence and access to their own vehicle. Whilst the role involves regular travel, there is no company car or car allowance BUT all travel will be full expenses (HMRC rates for petrol).
