My client is a leading independent Commercial Finance lender with an established presence in the UK. With strong financial backing, they have a real appetite to lend money and work closely with SMEs across all different sectors to help provide a fast, flexible and tailored solution suited each individual cashflow need. The business has a market-leading SME focused proposition and can offer a full range of different business finance products and can provide a structured finance offering alongside stand alone commercial products.
Due to growth, we now have an exciting opportunity to join their successful Bridging Finance team as a Business Development Executive. You will be responsible for supporting a field-based Business Development Manager with their existing deals and pipeline, including talking with brokers, requesting further information from the client, or helping with structuring and writing up deals. You will be instrumental in making sure their sales pipeline is moving along in the right direction thus allowing them to focus on new business.
This is a remote role working from home, however they are keen to have you as an integral part of the team and therefore would require you to go into one of their main office in Manchester once a month.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:
- Support the Business Development Manager on their sales pipeline, speaking directly with brokers and customers when necessary
- Analyse and assess financial information
- Ensure all required information is received in order to package up an application
- Shadow and support the BDMs on occasional client visits, to learn the ropes for the future
- Communicate with introducers on behalf of the BDM when required
Key Skills of a Business Development Executive::
- 2+ years' experience within business lending or commercial lending
- Ability to read accounts is advantageous
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload
- Excellent communication skills
- Good at building relationships
- Team player
- Excellent customer service, time management and telephone skills
- Organised
- Good sense of humour and positive, friendly attitude
This role comes with a salary of up to £30,000 plus discretionary bonus and an impressive benefits package, and will provide progression opportunities into multiple parts of the business.
