They seek an experienced Business Development Manager / Account Manager who has a proficiency for new business sales.
Business Development Manager – the role:
Working in conjunction with account managers and ‘internal sales’, this role is seen as a step-above, as you will have responsibility for the customer’s corporate (typically multisite) clients.
The role has a 60/40 split, between developing fresh sales and generating new business from existing corporates, including having responsibility for their largest ‘flagship’ customer in the UK.
With the existing clients, you’ll be creating relationships at the executive-level, and will be a focal point of contact, generating sales by upselling and cross-selling.
Location: The client’s UK offices is based in the Southeast, but the company operates a remote model, so you’ll be home-based, but with some travel (perhaps a couple of times per week) to see clients who prefer a face-to-face meeting. The balance will be remote, using Salesforce, Teams, and a range of other tools-of-trade for presentations and sales calls.
