Mobile Communications Sales Business Development Manager
Location: West London covering London, Southern Counties and M4 Corridor.
Salary: Competitive, OTE £100K+ (uncapped commission)
The role: Our client is looking to expand their mobile communications focused sales team with an experienced Business Development Manager. The team sell B2B mobile, mobile data, connectivity, Microsoft 365 and a number of traditional and hosted telephony systems.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Sourcing, researching and prospecting new business opportunities.
- Understanding potential clients’ business communications requirements.
- Being able to manage and create a sales pipeline.
- Developing and following up on existing leads.
- Writing proposals and preparing quotations.
- Leading presentations and demonstrations to clients.
- Meeting sales targets through effective planning and budgeting.
- Qualify opportunities.
- Accurate forecasting.
- Providing support, information and guidance to clients.
- Researching and understanding market developments and technology trends.
- Attend events/exhibitions as required and actively participate in industry events.
- Selling portfolio of products into new customers — this is a new business role only, as they have an existing inside sales team.
- Qualified sales leads will be provided, however it is essential you are able to also make your own appointments.
- The successful candidate will be expected to sit an agreed number of customer-facing appointments per week.
- Already have a pipeline of prospects and existing clients that will ensure you hit the ground running.
Essential experience required:
- Experience in telecoms and/or IT
- Proven sales experience and a track record within the telecoms industry is essential
- Able to provide high level of support in the event of customer support problems
- A knowledge of mobile, phone systems including hosted VoIP
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Be self-motivated and target-driven
- Experience in and knowledge of WLR and leased lines
