SalaryPopulus Recruitment Solutions is working closely with one of the largest security services providers in the UK to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their Fire & Security division.
The Business Developement Manager will develop and implement a programme of activity to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and potential customers, build pipeline and close sales, improving awareness of of our clients Fire & Security solutions capabilities.
What you will do:
- To maximise opportunities for new business and to lead the Business Development process and negotiations with the customer/ client in order to win profitable contracts.
- To source, lead and manage UK new Business Development opportunities for single service lines
- To support wider divisions as a single service “subject matter expert” providing commercial intelligence
- To achieve agreed financial targets
Person Specification
- Proven experience of working successfully in a fire & security environment
- Experience of managing and participating in project teams that work, adopting project management disciplines
- Proven experience of delivery strong consistent win rations against target
- Highly numerate with the ability to understand commercial negotiations
- A commercial thinker with the ability to understand and guide commercial negotiations
- In-depth experience of devising fire & security solutions for a variety of organisation types
- Good interpersonal skills, influence and impact, working with others
- Senior sales role in similar industry setting
- Proven experience of delivery strong consistent win rations against target
- A strong quality orientation and commitment to continuous improvement
- An influential and persuasive communicator, with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills
- A clear and strategic thinker, able to offer new and innovative solutions.
- Must be able to write compelling proposals, bid answers and supporting documentation
- Must be able to put together costings for projects using Excel
