The Client
My client is a leading Main / Principal Construction Contractor, providing products and services to create high end luxury environments in the Residential and Hotel sector in the London and the UK. They focus on winning complex and interesting projects covering all aspects of new build construction, major structural adaptations, cut & carves extensions before refurbishing and fitting out to the very highest of standards.
The Business Development Manager Role
This role is focused on winning new work opportunities with the Public Sector within the London and Home Counties area, gaining access to Frameworks and navigation the associated Procurement processes.
Typical Roles & Responsibilities:
- Promote the company brand
- Research and understand the markets we work in to expand our capabilities
- Generate, manage, and develop Public Sector leads and opportunities
- Increase the opportunities and profitability of the Company
- Cultivate Leads, Targets and bring in tenders and opportunities to support the company Business Plan
- Update and manage the sales target lead list on a weekly basis and ready for reporting each month
- Manage client CRM and database (Salesforce)
- Maintain schedules, deadlines, and appointments
- Meet, build, and maintain client relationship
- Cultivate existing and new clients to bring in project opportunities for the Company
- Attend Conferences & Events
- Maintain Business Development & Marketing objectives and strategies
- Consider and contribute to the Companies Social Media accounts
- Work as part of a team and effectively interact with all relevant internal departments.
- Establish innovative ways to keep ahead of our competitors
- Secure opportunities with existing, new designer, clients, and professional teams across the regions that the Company operates
- Organising and administration of industry and client entertainment.
- Check publications for relevant marketing information, opportunities, and intel.
- Coordination of advertisements, press releases and project data sheets.
The Successful Business Development Manager
- Ideal candidate should have experience working for a leading main Construction Contractor in a similar role.
- Has a proven track record creating opportunities with the construction sector, within Public Sectors, such as Health, Education and Government departments.
- Confidence to speak on the phone, face-to-face and build relationships.
- Team player.
- Adaptable.
- Excellent personal presentation
- Ability to attend meetings/events at different locations, regions/countries, as necessary.
