The role of Business Development Manager:
- The role of BDM/Broker Manager is suitable for a salesperson with no, or limited current track record in broker sales management
- Involves largely self-sourcing your own business by identify and prospecting for new introducers whilst maintaining an existing panel of introducers in your area
- Is an external sales role involving significant out bound activity including a minimum of 3-5 self-generated physical meetings a week with brokers across the North
- Requires the management of leads from proposal to pay out, including credit appraisal and physical sign ups on most deals
- Recent experience of the Asset Finance Industry, ideally in a customer/broker facing sales role for a funder as opposed to a broker
- Confident, self-motivated, and driven to succeed, and excels under the pressure of hitting stretching targets
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Sales driven with ability to plan and manage their own high levels of activities and contact strategy
- A full driving license and be a confident and experienced driver
- Previous experience in credit appraisal i.e. reviewing searches, bank statements and financials is preferred
