Your New Role

National Engineering Contractor with a growing team and enviable footprint of projects across the country have a requirement for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding Contractor as they extend their presence in the Scottish Construction Industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Development strategy to drive growth and increase revenue.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients and partners.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and clients, ensuring regular follow-up and communication to maximise opportunities.
• Attend networking events and conferences to expand the company's reach and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and new developments.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth transition from Business Development to project delivery.
• Monitor and report on progress against targets, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Be the main point of contact for clients pre-contract award.
• Completing New Client PQQs
• Regular liaising with tender & estimating teams.
• Regular visits to clients & potential clients
• Managing Client Feedback
• Input to regular workload review
• Managing social media accounts

Requirements

• Previous experience within power & energy industry.
• Previous sales or equivalent operational experience.
• Excellent time management.
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive.
