Job Title:Business Development Manager

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Averaging around £65,000,00 per year

My client is currently seeking a motivated Sales Manager/ Business Development Manager to join there dynamic team. This position will be based at there office in Chelmsford and will be required to travel to sites. This offers a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. This role presents an exciting opportunity within team, allowing the ideal candidate to carve their own path and leave their mark on the business.

My client is a reputable nationwide commercial construction company with a prestigious client portfolio including Samsung and Benefit Cosmetics. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by proactively building and expanding there network of contacts to generate new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business prospects within the industry.
  • Generate and follow up on leads to convert potential clients into valued partners.
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations, effectively showcasing the capabilities of the company
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and exceptional service is delivered.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities.
  • Track and report on the growth of the client base to management.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provide support to the team by undertaking additional duties as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Negotiate contract terms and agreements with clients, ensuring favourable outcomes for both parties.
  • Attend networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows to promote our company and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to understand project requirements and tailor proposals to meet client needs.

Requirements:The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Construction or sales related qualification
  • Capable of leading and developing a team
  • Full clean driving license
  • At least 5+ years field sales experience within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing abilities.
  • A proven ability to cultivate and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
