Our client is a leader in high quality Gifting Confectionery products with an enviable and loyal customer base across independent farm shops, garden centres and deli-counters across the country. The company is trading very successfully, and that trend is set to continue with the introduction of their new cream-based fudge products, the likes of which have never been tasted before!
The job function is to both manage an existing customer base, as well as converting the considerable potential from non-trading accounts. The potentials for new business is substantial, so it’s important that you are as capable in the new business arena as much as you are in optimising turnover from existing business.
To be considered for this exciting position you should be experienced in selling into farm shops, delis or garden centres and it is the exposure to the correct channels that is perhaps the most important thing. Exposure to confectionery would be a small bonus, however we have been retained and briefed to consider capable candidates from pretty much any food category. It is your commercial skills, and your channel experience that count for the most!
As this is a home-based role, your location is less relevant, however a base in the Midlands would be an advantage, even if only from a journey planning perspective.
