We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager with experience of the trade industry to work for a leading distributor of worktop surfaces. This is a territory based role covering from Swindon through to Wales (SA/LD/CF/NP and HR postcodes) so you can be based anywhere within the territory working remotely. This is a permanent role working Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week) offering a salary of £35-40,000 per annum
dependent on experience plus bonus & car allowance of £350 per month!
As Business Development Manager, you will be passionate about finding the best solutions for your customers in order to maximise sales potential in your territory. Key duties will cover the following:
Identify new business opportunities including new customers, routes to market, growth areas, and products.Generate leads and develop prospective customers; and re-activate dormant accounts.Listen to customer needs to better understand these needs and respond effectively.Have an excellent understanding of the company’s products and apply this knowledge to help customers develop their businesses.Maximise opportunities to continually learn about new products and to improve selling skillsWork with operational colleagues to manage debt performance of customer baseDevelop, own and manage personal customer portfolioDevelop effective supplier relationships to maximise customer sales opportunitiesWe are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
Previous sales experience in a Business Development Manager role or similarTrade industry sales background is required (building supplies, hardware etc)Proven success in increasing existing business as well as winning new businessUsed to managing a territory from an office base, managing your own diary booking sales meetingsA proven track record of achieving sales targets.Good IT skills with CRM experience to track sales as well as MS Office including PowerPoint to create powerful presentationsA clean driving licence (essential)Benefits will include:
