Job description

You're a commercially astute business professional, someone who account manages, networks, and grows relationships. Working with OEMs on technical solutions you're just as comfortable in engineering as you are a boardroom.
 
Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
 
Benefits:
· Uncapped Commission: £15,000 - £20,000 per annum, paid quarterly (year one expected)
· Company Car Allowance: £6,600
· Company Pension
· 25 days Annual Holiday + Birthday off
 
Location: Bedford
 
Commutable locations: You will likely be office based 3 days per week, so living in the Midlands or the South East. You could live, in Peterborough, Northampton, Bedford, Stevenage, Leicester, Luton, Milton Keynes, Banbury, Cambridge, etc.

Job Description:Business Development Manager - Product Sales - Telematics, Hardware, Software
 
As our Business Development Manager, you'll be a pivotal part of our commercial team, working closely with our Commercial Director, Internal Sales, and the technical team, you'll be one of the key faces of the business. You'll have influence and input on developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share. Selling a wide range of Software and Hardware solutions.
 
Key Accountabilities:Business Development Manager - Product Sales - Telematics, Hardware, Software
 
Both office and remotely based, with extensive UK field travel, your duties & accountabilities will include:
· Identify new business opportunities within predominately existing accounts to cultivate, develop and maximise relationships.
· Work closely with the internal sales manager to continuously communicate with the wider customer base (1200). These customers currently sit across Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Defence, Agriculture, Telematics, Automation, MHE.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with Top 10 clients and gain a true understanding of the capacity within each client.
· Collaborate with the technical team to secure sales opportunities that arise from new product introduction.
· Responsibility for developing & improving internal tools & processes that support successful sales activity.
· Develop, create, and maintain a strong sales pipeline / forecasting system.

To be successful in your application, you'll have the commercial awareness in understanding what is demanded by today's customers. You'll be able to demonstrate the previous action plans and strategies you have developed and implemented and their successful outcomes.  
 
You will have:
· A proven track record of commercial success within sales and Business Development, ideally from a technical environment with an industrial hardware of components
· Experience and Knowledge, of some or all the following market sectors: Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Defence, Agriculture, Telematics, Automation, or Manual Handling Equipment.
· Strategic selling skills, including the development and execution of a 1 - 3-year business plan.
· The ability to collaborate; be a strong communicator who is skilful at interacting with customers, peers, and an established team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· The tenacity to be a Self-Starter & the confidence to hit the ground running.
