Business Development Manager

Our client is a 2nd generation family-run waste management business based in Scotland, providing "cradle to grave" recycling and bespoke solutions. As a result of their continued expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly driven Business Development Manager to join their business. This is a challenging opportunity for someone who can demonstrate being a self-starter and has experience at building out new markets and entrepreneurial to the role.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in formulating new business opportunities in the Construction and Housebuilding sector and drive forward our client's ambitious sales strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively generating new business leads within the housing and construction sector
  • Proactively establishing partnerships with large and medium-sized housebuilders
  • Managing a prospect list and reporting opportunities to the Head of Sales
  • Working with the Sales team to consistently drive the Sales strategy forward
  • Actively listen and provide customers with the best waste management solutions
  • Reaching company and personal sales targets
  • Provide accurate calculations and quotes to customers
  • Closing sales successfully

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a progressive fast paced career.
The successful candidate will be highly presentable with strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to operate at all levels, both internally and externally. Ideally coming from a background within Waste Management and Recycling, you can demonstrate a successful sales attitude, as well as the ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines. If you have a minimum of 5 years' experience and significant commercial & sales experience, with proven track record of increasing B2B sales, then this is a fantastic opportunity in an excellent business where you will be challenged.
