We are working with one of the leading manufacturers of high-tech spectacle lenses and frames worldwide. They develop, produce, and distribute their products in over 50 countries in Europe, Africa and the Near East and continue their commitment to their precision and time measuring systems.
The role
As Business Development Manager, you’ll support, increase, and develop the sales of our client’s lens portfolio across the South East. You will be responsible for educating and training all levels of customer employees with the outcome of improving their product mix and overall sales.
This is the perfect role for someone with an impressive track record in a sales role who is confident with consultative sales. You will drive the company’s vision forward, looking to develop strong pipelines and identify new business opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating features and benefits of our client’s product portfolio
- Providing technical and optical support to customers
- Delivering generic sales skills and technique training and contributing to its development
- Providing excellent customer service
- Preparing sales objectives for every sales call and executing these plans
- Organising time and territory management to achieve set targets
- Executing joint marketing promotions to help drive product sales
- Organising incentives and targets for sales growth
The requirements
You’ll have field-based sales experience or in-practice dispensing, as well as…
- Degree in dispensing optics or a relevant subject (desirable)
- Prior experience managing a sales region
- Industry experience working with ophthalmic lenses
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Results-orientated with strong knowledge of the optical market
- New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships and expand existing ones where appropriate
- Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
- Be comfortable with long sales cycles and capable of managing the process throughout to ensure successful delivery
- High integrity and honesty
