As our Applicant Engagement Support Officer working in North West Leicestershire and Hinckley and
Bosworth, you will provide one-to-one mentoring support to participants on the Leicester City Employment Hub
Project with a particular focus on supporting young people to access employment and further education and
training. You will also have responsibility for setting up and running a Youth Leadership Group, which will help
to scrutinise and develop the Project.
You will recruit and support project participants to reach their goal towards employment, apprenticeships,
education, training and/or volunteering, addressing their individual barriers and providing mentoring support
along the way. Using exceptional planning and organisation skills you will ensure that participants are given
appropriate assistance in accessing the right support from a range of resources and providers, encouraging
and guiding them on their journey towards starting and sustaining in work or further education.
Working closely with the projects Business Engagement Officer, you will create referral pathways with wider
stakeholders connect and ensure appropriate data capture and analysis to support project reporting.
Applicants will need to demonstrate experience in supporting individuals to identify and achieve personal goals
combined with an established understanding of barriers preventing young people from engaging with support
linked to employment, education and/or training.
The role requires a superb listener and communicator with an established track record in providing impactful
support and training and experience of working in diverse communities. Proven skills in engaging and
motivating individuals (both face to face and remotely) to achieve outcomes and an ability to develop high
quality information and resources are also necessary.
