Arco, the UK’s leading integrated health and safety expert, is seeking a dynamic Business Improvement Partner to spearhead our continuous improvement journey. This pivotal role is not just about making incremental changes; it's about revolutionizing our processes, enhancing our operations, and delivering exceptional value to our customers and colleagues.
This is a fixed term role for 12 months, working a hybrid model with 2/3 days within our head office in Hull.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Championing Continuous Improvement (CI) culture through a range of activities including; strategic initiatives, projects, improving customer and colleague experience and ad hoc requests
  • Engaging functional support and obtaining decisions to ensure that milestones are met
  • Developing and maintaining relationships to promote continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to improve efficiency, simplify, reduce costs, drive sales and improve customer/colleague satisfaction 
  • Working with the business to generate and maintain a pipeline of business process / continuous improvement activities
  • Championing changes on behalf of the business, whilst maintaining cross-functional integrity of end-to-end processes
  • Using agreed processes and methodology for identifying, defining and documenting continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Developing and maintain a network of subject matter experts and business leads to help design, deliver, embed and sustain change in the functions

The ideal Business Improvement Partner will be/have:
  • Expertise and certification in Lean or Six Sigma techniques or process engineering essential
  • Use of other formal analysis techniques to understand business needs and process documentation
  • Experience in business/continuous improvement roles
  • Experience in a commercial environment desirable, across a range of functional disciplines
  • Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to audiences needs
  • Clear thinking and ability to join together detail with a higher level big picture
  • Ability to operate strategically and tactically
  • Good analytical ability, and capable of drawing out key insights to support decision making
