Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analyst required by leading Energy Consultancy serving the non-domestic and commercial sector.
You will conduct data analysis and provide insightful Business Intelligence and energy industry analysis for a range of non-domestic and commercial customers such as landlords, building operators (public buildings, municipal buildings) and facilities management consultancies using a range of techniques and tools including MS Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Qliksense, Vertica/Opentext. A mix of experience with these skills and technologies will be appropriate
The primary analysis will focus on Cost, Revenue and Servicing contract analysis and providing insight to customers about their energy consumption, trends and savings. You will calculate annual energy budgets and in-term reforecasts, use forecast costs for all channels (Direct Suppliers, Landlords and Supplies to produce annual PPU rates, validation of landlord invoices and data received and implement resolutions when applicable (e.g., issuing tenant billing ad hoc invoices, incorporating into future estimate and reconciliation invoices). This work will therefore require both significant attention to detail to be able to review, ingest and analyse a wide range of data sources as well as an underlying understanding of the energy sector and billing calculations in relation to consumption of electricity and gas within commercial environments.
We are searching for an energy industry Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analyst / Industry Analyst. You will have been working within either a consultancy environment, a facilities management company or within an energy provider within a similar role. You will have a solid understanding of energy billing models and be able to understand pricing models and forecasts. Your experience will include a solid level of ability with Excel and at least a grasp of SQL. You will be comfortable utilising at least one DV / BI tool such as PowerBI, Qliksense, Tableau, Alteryx or Vertica/Opentext. You will possess strong communication skills. Degree level education in a technical, energy or engineering related discipline preferred but non-essential.
