Hybrid Working: Required to be in the UK office 3 days per week.

Kameo Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting a Business Intelligence Development Lead to join a manufacturing company based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. This role will lead the BI team in the development of a strong Business Intelligence landscape both in developing, testing, and building Power BI Dashboard in support of the achievement of business requirements. Further BI tools to be utilised as best fits global and local needs.

The role will be responsible for managing 2+ resources within the existing development team and oversee other BI functions in other departments to ensure consistency providing mentoring, support and guidance as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Development Lead:

  • Lead and manage the Business Intelligence team of analysts.
  • Point of contact for business for all Business Intelligence and analytics work.
  • Managing a portfolio of dashboards and lead role in meeting Business Intelligence Strategy.
  • Working alongside IS Department to ensure the configuration of all associated systems are appropriate for current and future needs.
  • Lead the ongoing rationalisation of Business Intelligence assets in their area to ensure they are providing utmost value for business outcomes.
  • Manipulate raw data and understand the ultimate design required to meet business requests.
  • Facilitate cross functional requirement sessions about complex information needs and documents requirements; includes working with stakeholders to prioritise requirements based on Business Intelligence capabilities and business needs.
  • Define, plan, and execute tests to ensure quality of results.
  • Proactively stays abreast of data sources, identify best internal and external data sources in response to business requests.
  • Coaches, mentors team members.
  • Build on the current local configuration landscape to ensure best practices and efficiencies are achieved.
  • Collaborate and work with the global team.

Requirements for the Business Intelligence Development Lead:

  • University degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering.
  • Extensive experience of Power BI and other BI tools and Strategic completion of power BI Dashboards
  • Experience of the initiation of a Business Intelligence landscape would be advantageous.
  • Excellent Team Management skills
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Practical experience of implementing a BI Architecture across markets
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute BI Plan
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
