The role This is an exciting time to join the Business Intelligence and Planning Team at Ravensbourne University London as we develop our management information capabilities. As Business Intelligence Officer you will be play an important part in developing the management information available at the university by gathering user needs, and working with the IT department, to translate them into new MI and BI products that integrate data from multiple domains to meet customer specifications. This new post will deliver visual reporting that significantly improves the University’s capability to maximise the value of our data. This is a full-time post and you will be required to be in the office two to three days a week to meet with colleagues to understand their Business Intelligence needs. The candidate Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering high-quality, accurate and timely management information. The role would suit someone with the technical ability to support the production of Business Intelligence dashboards from complex data, who also has an interest in the provision of actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making and risk management. The candidate will need experience of working with higher education data and should have an understanding of the student life cycle and of the wider higher education external data requirements. Knowledge of data governance processes would be advantageous. The candidate will have good task prioritisation and time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships. They’ll be a proactive problem solver who is open to change and can contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and working practises. You'll be able to work on your own initiative as well as effectively within a team, being flexible and adaptable to the workload and team requirements.
