The successful candidate will supervise the development of tactical and strategic intelligence, and provide advice regarding law enforcement and safeguarding strategies to colleagues within the NCA and NPCC Partners.
Your role will be focused on developing contingency planning and managing risk to children to enable safeguarding intervention activity without compromising ongoing investigations. You will be expected to liaise with national and international law enforcement to aid in the identification of victims and suspects of CSAE offending, with the aim of safeguarding the most vulnerable and innocent members of our community.
The successful candidate will be proactive, working on fast time investigations, and focused on Victim Identification, using a variety of intelligence collection techniques. You will be required to develop and maintain an exemplary standard of subject matter knowledge in support of the team objectives; showing competence in the use intelligence handling against information security protocols, NCA policies and procedures, and the law.
Roles based in London will receive an additional London Weighting of £3,847. If applying on Secondment and you are the equivalent grade you will remain on your current salary for the duration of your Secondment. This role attracts a SPOT Rate salary. SPOT Rate offers a progressive increase in pay to reflect the skills and experience of the officer. The starting SPOT Rate is SPOT rate 1 £45,057. Progression to a higher spot rate is only achievable once in post.
The SPOT rate range for this role includes SPOT rate 2- £48,798 and SPOT rate Expert - £50,746. Eligibility for SPOT Rates is determined by the requirements of the role, not the skills or capabilities of the officer occupying the role. Roles where IPP or PIP2 accreditation is essential are eligible for SPOT Rates. Civil service salary matching is not permitted on the SPOT Rate structure. Successful candidates will be eligible for the Special Duty Bonus Payment of £1,400.
