As a Senior Business Intelligence Officer, you will support our charity from a BI perspective, enhancing our culture and ways of working.
Specifically, you will develop, manage and produce a Performance Management Framework whilst helping us form a structured, evidence-based culture. You will produce insights to drive improvements to our performance, offering Business Intelligence and KPI reports and dashboards.
You will also advise and support the Executive and Management teams, working with the Head of IT and colleagues to focus on key Business Intelligence areas as efficiently as possible.

To be considered as a Senior Business Intelligence Officer, you will need:
- Experience of leading change in an IT environment
- Experience of building performance management and KPI frameworks
- The ability to develop effective partnerships both internally and externally
- Proven ability to develop, implement and manage strategies and plans aligned to key business objectives
- Project management skills
- A degree (or equivalent) in IT or a data-related field

Overall Aim
To develop, manage and produce a Performance Management Framework including Business Intelligence and Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) reports and dashboards to help Housing for Women develop a structured, evidence base culture and produce insights to drive improved performance.
The Senior Business Intelligence Officer is directly responsible for producing KPI’s and Business Intelligence. They will advise and support the executive and management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of IT and colleagues in Joint Management Team to focus on key Business Intelligence areas, prioritising effort where potential return and impact is greatest.
- Develop data models and reports using PowerBi to increase the efficiency of the KPI process and support the internal data governance of the organisation.
- Lead on benchmarking returns with HouseMark and BM320 and analysis of those returns once complete.
- Manage the development and delivery of Business Intelligence reporting and dashboard projects, ensuring the quality of work meets the needs of internal customers and that Housing for Women have a viable Performance Management Framework that is evidence based and remains current and comprehensive.
- Generate summary and specified dashboards which represent operational data in brief and intelligible format, suitable for the target audience, which includes executive leadership, department managers and board of directors and external audiences including key partners and regulatory bodies.
- Align, synthesise, and augment performance analytics from multiple data, evidence, research and feedback sources, ensuring outputs are shared in the most accessible and impactful way.
- Assist in developing a data management strategy for the organisation.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders to help them understand and make best use of the Business Intelligence that is delivered.
- Manage strong day to day relationships with external Business Intelligence agencies, delivering to key objectives and priorities in order to maximise effectiveness and value for money.
- Ensure that all Business Intelligence is made available on H4W’s intranet as required.
- Ensure that information governance and security are considered appropriately.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all relevant Housing for Women policies and procedures at all times.
- Any other duties as reasonably required in line with skills, knowledge, and experience to contribute to Housing for Women’s wider success.
