Job description

This role will play a key part in challenging Thames Water’s overall performance position against our agreed business targets and analyse deltas between plan baselines.

What you’ll be doing as a Business Planning Lead

  • Delivering a fully integrated and optimised corporate business plan - spending, performance, and risks on an annual basis.
  • Performing critical reviews of business cases as part of cross-functional investment prioritisation.
  • Building high quality supporting materials to present annual business plans to senior executives and board.
  • Developing key relationships within the business and serve as best-in-class business partners.
  • Contributing to building a high-performing integrated Business Planning team.
  • Preparing our business plan in the format required by our regulator for the price review.

Base Location: Reading, Hybrid

Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours

What you should bring to the role

  • High level of analytical ability and good project management skills
  • Microsoft Office software proficiency
  • Exposure to planning software (e.g. Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud) would be beneficial
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • An accounting qualification, or project management qualification is desirable but not essential
