We are a growing business that provides visits and inspections to various local authority contracts in London. We need to expand our team of inspectors who are currently based in London. We have a permanent post available for an enthusiastic individual who can work well within a busy and friendly environment.
As a Revenues Inspector, you will be responsible for undertaking Business Rates visits within the London Borough of Lambeth and supporting your team members when needed. You will also be required to inspect other London boroughs occasionally. You will be working alongside an experienced inspector who will provide you with full training and guidance.

What you’ll be doing:
Visit commercial premises and arrange appointments with landlords, agents, business owners, etc. to gain access to them
Liaise with other agencies such as the Valuation Office Agency and other departments within the Council
Inspect properties or sites that have been given planning permission to carry out works that will affect the Rating List
Provide reports to the Valuation Office Agency that assist in keeping the Business Rates database up to date
Establish liability, entitlement, exemptions, discounts and reliefs for Business Rates

Computer literacy and ability to use handheld devices
