BCRM – Regulatory Compliance Risk
The Business Risk and Controls (BRCM) Manager role is based within the 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) Controls team and will report to the Senior BCRM, Non-Financial Risk and Product Governance. This role assists with the implementation of the risk and control strategy and the risk management framework. Ensuring the consistent and effective implementation and performance of regulatory compliance risk by supporting Risk Owners and Risk Stewards and driving the development and implementation of future-fit risk management frameworks. Key aspects of the role include the delivery of Risk Control Assessments (RCAs), as well as overseeing associated internal events and issues. The role will also support the oversight of Non-Financial Risk (NRF) regulatory reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
Enabling the business to clearly, consistently and comprehensively articulate the risk profile of the business in respect of regulatory risk.
Facilitating the RCAs for regulatory compliance risk which identify the key risks, their impact and the relevant controls. Leading and facilitating RCA refresh workshops, in order to support functions manage their key risks on an ongoing basis.
Managing relationships with key contacts and stakeholders. These are likely to include country Chief Risk Officers and Country Functional Heads. Providing support through proactive advice based on risk and control knowledge and insights and present risk management solutions where appropriate.
Challenging local management when good Business Risk management is not evident e.g. poor RCAs, slow resolution of internal events or outstanding issues and escalating where necessary.
Collating and presenting reports and management information to support the oversight of regulatory compliance risk to promote accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data and commercial analysis.
Identifying trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment.
Oversight and management of the NFR regulatory reporting schedule.
Promoting desired behaviours and a positive risk culture and supporting the delivery of the conduct outcomes.
