Team/Role Overview:

As a member of the Services Global Financial Institutions (FI) Sales team, the individual will be part of the Secretariat which oversees multiple aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Sanctions senior management control processes for Foreign Correspondent Bank (FCB) and Payment Intermediary (PI) business segments. The Secretariat coordinates two global committees: Foreign Correspondent Banking Oversight Committee (CBOC) and Payment Intermediaries Oversight Committee (PIOC). Membership in the committees comprises senior management from Business, In-Business Risk (IBR) and Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) functions.

The individual will work closely with partners in AML and Sanctions ICRM, IBR and KYC operations and drive engagement across the geographically diverse global sales /relationship management team.

What you’ll do:

  • Guide sales teams in assessing AML and Sanctions risk of existing and prospective client relationship.
  • Act as Secretary or Assistant Secretary for Global CBOC and/or PIOC.  Coordinate with client relationship, ACRM and other stakeholders as relevant, in the preparation of agendas.  Ensure that detailed minutes are taken and recorded.
  • Maintain client records, including tracking of approvals, and periodic distribution thereof.
  • Prepare monthly summaries of CBOC/PIOC activity for senior committees.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Economics or Data Management related field preferred
  • Knowledgeable about all aspects of financial services
  • Familiar with navigating in a global and matrixed organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Diligent on follow ups; Deep understanding of diverse cultures and global organizational behaviour
  • Comfortable with negotiating and interacting at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Able to coordinate with multiple people and functions at Citi to deliver a better experience to our clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work under pressure, and to multi-task.
  • Flexible to shift tasks within the Secretariat as needs require.
  • Significant focus on data manipulation; proficiency required in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access (database – recommended).
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
