Team/Role Overview:

Citi Custody Network Management Team is responsible for the oversight of 104 markets as well managing client connectivity to local markets through Citi’s industry leading market intelligence program; whilst managing a significant cost base that includes the majority of transactional expenses. The team is a truly global, diverse, experienced team, located in multiple centres around the world reflecting Citi’s footprint.  Network Management is pivotal to Citi’s custody product organisation and work close with product, client, operations and other partners at Securities Services and beyond to ensure we can deliver Citi’s network to our clients at its best.

What you’ll do:

This global role has several strategic objectives:

I)  Enhance the existing control structure reviewing network related expenses; replace manual controls with automation and ensure geographical coordination

II) Work with countries, product, network managers and operations to re-engineer processes and the offering to find incremental saves in the local Central Securities Depository (CSD) expenses

III) Engage with the International CSDs directly and coordinate with Operations and Product to find new efficiencies and saves

IV) Work with product and billing partners to identify new opportunities to pass through transactional expenses to end clients where justified.  

V) Lead projects that improve Citi’s data capabilities as it relates to the network 

Whilst the core focus of the role is reducing transaction expenses, there may be other productivity opportunities involving the network group.

What we’ll need from you:

Knowledge of Securities Services, Custody Product;

  • A good understanding of custody pricing tariffs, market related expenses.
  • Strong analytical skills including experience in expense management & excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to foster excellent relationships between the business, client facing teams, internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • High motivation and energy.
  • Flexible and adaptable to quickly changing internal and external circumstances.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and accountability.
  • Experience of working in a global environment.
  • Graduate, preferably a post-graduate with a degree in banking/ management/ finance or other relevant discipline.
