Vice President / Senior Associate, Leadership Development

The Role

In this role you will be helping design and deliver world class leadership experiences to ensure we are fostering BlackRock’s culture and driving performance, engagement and enabling great careers.

This role is part of a globally distributed team charged with activating leadership at BlackRock. In addition to delivering our core leadership and manager development programs, this person will work across HR, business leaders and employees to assess leadership needs and design experiential approaches to ensuring our managers and leaders are able to deliver for their teams as well as our clients.

We are looking for an experienced Leadership Development professional who can help design and pilot new programming as well as deliver on core programs. The ideal candidate will be creative and collaborative and able to implement high quality experiences with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify development needs for managers and leaders at BLK that will drive performance, engagement and a sense of belonging for employees

  • Design interactive and innovative development experiences to inspire and activate leadership

  • Create high impact materials to support engagement strategies for programming with various collaborators

  • Handle a portfolio of pilot and/or core programs – identify participants, engage managers and other stakeholders, potential partnership with vendors to design and deliver, measure and report impact, project manage development and delivery of programs

  • Design and facilitate sessions (90 min – multiple days)

  • Collaborate with regional partners to tailor global efforts for local delivery

  • Contribute to other HR and Talent Management initiatives as needed

Qualifications & Proficiencies:

  • Leadership or Management programming experience, preferably in a fast-paced high-growth environment with many internal / external partners.

  • Strong project management skills; design thinking and agile development experience a plus

  • Ability to synthesize disparate, complex information into a clear and concise message and narrative, maximising metrics and data.

  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills

  • Ability to interact authoritatively with project team and senior partners

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Consistent track record to multi-task, prioritize challenging demands, and work in a fast-paced, changing, global environment

  • Quick learner, self-motivated and ability to work independently

  • Able to navigate through ambiguity; flexible and adaptable to change

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
