What it's like to work here

As Business Services Coordinator for Snowshill Manor & Garden, you will provide efficient and proactive support to keep the day-to-day business of the property running smoothly. You’ll play a key part in our business through administrative support and office management, as well as delivering great service to our visitors, volunteers, and staff.  

Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, you’ll support different teams with administration and business matters. You will work 4 days a week covering core office hours 9am to 5pm, including weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis (roughly 1 weekend in 4).

We have a strong and passionate team delivering exciting projects and work to share the stories of Snowshill with our visitors. As Business Services Coordinator you’ll work alongside our teams across the property from the manor to the garden, commercial departments to the welcome and visitor experience teams supporting the delivery of our work and keeping everything running smoothly.

Snowshill is a place like no other: a world away from the ordinary and the unconventional home of the eccentric Charles Wade. Snowshill is a beautiful place to work, set in the idyllic Cotswolds. We’re 2.5 miles from Broadway and the A44 however you’ll need your own transport to reach this chocolate box village.

What you'll be doing

As Business Services Co-ordinator you'll be fulfilling a central role, supporting different teams with administration and business matters.

On a day-to-day level you'll manage communications through our main phoneline and email, process banking, and support the organisation of meetings as well as minute taking. You’ll also take a lead on our internal communications such as the property newsletter, keeping compliance tasks and trackers up to date, and facilitating group visits.

You'll also work on a whole property and strategic level, taking a lead on some of our Climate Action and carbon awareness actions, contributing to financial reporting, and yearly business planning. 

The National Trust is a busy organisation so you will deliver ongoing tasks alongside different priorities at different points in the year. You can guarantee that no day is the same so you’ll have to love variety. As well as supporting day to day operations, you’ll have the chance to support a variety of projects and offer your advice beyond your team. You’ll always champion best practice when it comes to business support, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something.

Who we're looking for
  • Relevant experience in a Business Support environment; along with facilities or office supervision responsibility
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Great team player
  • Flexible and customer -focussed with strong customer service skills
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise own workload
  • Well organised and attention to detail
  • Advanced IT Skills
