Position: Business Support Administrator
Job Type: 12-month contract (Maternity Cover)
Location: Easington, East Ridings of Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 Per week – Monday to Friday – Hybrid working available

Gassco AS UK are responsible for transporting Norwegian gas safely and efficiently to millions of people in the UK and Europe.
Due to Maternity Leave, they are now seeking a Business Support Administrator who will provide support to the Business Services Department in the day to day activities undertaken at the Langeled Receiving Facility (LRF).
The role holder is responsible for providing effective and efficient purchasing and administrative support to the organisation in line with relevant processes, policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities & activities:
Purchasing Responsibilities
- Obtaining/reviewing quotations and processing Purchase Orders, ensuring a high level of accuracy and compliance with Gassco’s Procurement policies and procedures.
- Processing of order acknowledgments and delivery notes
- Expediting of late deliveries
- Maintaining a live database of vendors, ensuring upkeep of vendor contact details, insurance/ISO certificates and Achilles Audits.
- Pre-Qualification, set up & verification of new vendors and re-qualification of existing vendors.
- Distribute vendor performance questionnaires and record results and findings
- Assisting with tenders
- Registering of concessions in the sites ICT tools
- Management of group email inbox.
Administration/Other Responsibilities
- To assist with finance duties such as processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Gassco Finance regulations, policies and procedures.
- To manage and organise the booking of staff travel.
- To assist and support the organisation by providing customer service, efficient and effective administrative support and accurately completing data entry , ensuring confidentiality of information and security of documentation.
- Assist in the day to day running of the business services to the site.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a similar administration role.
- Working with Microsoft Office (Outlook , Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
- Accurate Data Entry
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good written skills.
- Good analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Competent at learning new systems, ability to learn and self-develop
- Excellent organisational skills
- Collaborative/ Team Player
- Drive and tenacity to meet deadlines and pursue tasks.
Desirable
- NVQ in Business Administration
- Experience of purchasing /processing purchase orders
- Invoice processing
- Can demonstrate an understanding the procurement cycle.
- Ability to use SAP
