About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a part time Business Support Officer to join the Business Support Team for the Children & Young People’s Service (CYPS) based at Knaresborough Children’s Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with NYC Fostering Service in providing high quality, professional support to the Fostering Recruitment process and in supporting Supervising Social Workers with their case management. You must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines.
About you:
You will be a highly motivated administrator with excellent customer care skills, as a key part of this role is liaison with foster carers and professionals on behalf of the operational team. You will deal with highly confidential information, both written and verbal, and will play a key role in coordinating the Fostering Recruitment process.
The day-to-day core focus is providing support to the operational and frontline services, and you will require excellent ICT skills and have experience of using Microsoft packages. The role will involve coordinating review meetings, attending some meetings, and taking notes in a ‘live’ format. You will also support with daily tasks which will include, processing financial claims, updating the data base with case recording, processing foster carer application forms and general enquiries.
You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Diversity and Health and Safety requirements for working within an office environment.
