Buyer - 1 Year Contract

Buyer - 1 Year CT / Uxbridge / £31,900 - £35,000 / Mon - Thur (4 Day Week)

You will have the opportunity to work with exciting new products lines on a daily basis! You will be managing purchasing and expediting activities for assigned commodities.
Location / Hours / Duration:
Location: You'll be based close to Uxbridge, Middlesex
Hours: 4 days a week - Mon to Thurs 7am - 5pm (37.5 hours a week)
Duration: 1 Year Contract
Buyer Duties/Requirements:

• Identifies and processes requisitions from MRP inventory and non-MRP inventory requirements to meet production planning and sales requirements for assigned commodities.
• Assists in purchase order acknowledgements (contract acceptance) with suppliers and updates MRP system.
• Assists in purchase order placement (contract offers) with suppliers.
• Manages open purchase order report to resolve late and partial shipments with suppliers and updates MRP system.
• Manages incoming shipment discrepancies with Receiving and/or suppliers.
• Resolves invoice discrepancies with Finance and/or suppliers.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a buying and expediting role preferred
• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Aerospace and Defence sector experience - preferred but not essential.
• Procurement/ Supply chain qualification or studying towards - CPSM/ MCIPS or equivalent desirable

As a Buyer, you will earn a competitive salary of £31,900 - £35,000 plus benefits including:
