Buyer - Aftersales Procurement

About this position:

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer in Aftersales Procurement to join a world leading automotive company who are always striving to ensure their products are one of the best in the world. You will be responsible for the sourcing of multiple commodity groups across external suppliers as well as being involved in my client's facilities across the globe to ensure a coordinated approach to their supply chain which will be key in ensuring effective stock management and continuity of supply to support their customer demand.
Responsibilities:

• Liaising with suppliers to negotiate and secure value for money on my clients Genuine Parts and Accessories range
• Building effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations, quality compliance and communication
• Identifying savings opportunities through tenders, negotiations, and efficiencies
• Responsible for the implementation of design changes

Experience Required:

• Completion of a relevant degree, achieving 2:1 or above
• First class interpersonal skills with a real passion for building effective professional relationships
• Sourcing and negotiation experience and supplier relationship management
• Experience in a purchasing environment, desirably in a manufacturing or automotive setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook
• Good commercial awareness and acumen
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible to address immediate priorities whilst still manage deadlines with longerterm projects and strategic initiatives

Desirable:

• Basic understanding of engineering and low volume production methods would be advantageous
• Experience within an automotive or motorcycle industry
