Offering over 5,000 products across fresh, prepped, speciality, artisan, chilled and frozen categories, their teams are passionate about food. Innovative thinking through the ever changing foodie landscape has contributed vastly to their reputation for placing lifelong customer relationships at the heart of everything they do.
As a result of business expansion, we are now seeking an experienced Fresh Producebuyer who will support and manage key suppliers across the category, assuming responsibility for sourcing, negotiating and optimising procurement activities.
Key objectives;
- Sourcing & supplier management
- Marketing analysis & forecasting
- Quality Assurance
- Inventory management
Key duties;
- Build strong supplier partnerships, managing relationships with key suppliers
- Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing and quality
- Ensure cost effective procurement of quality produce
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing
- Play a proactive role to drive efficiency
- Work collaboratively with the wider team
- Develop departmental KPIs

- Breadth & depth of purchasing and negotiation experience in Fresh Produce
