Job title: Junior Bid Manager
Location: Belfast area
Salary: Circa £35k - £40k plus great benefits
- Our client is an award-winning, innovative Mechanical & Electrical services contractor who provides a full range of installation and maintenance services to clients across both public and private sectors, throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Their service offering ranges from installations on large-scale developments such as newbuild schools, offices and hospitals, to maintenance and compliance contracts for clients in sectors such as Healthcare, Education and Local Government.

The opportunity:
Due to organic growth, they are now looking at expanding the bid & marketing team in the capacity of a Junior Bid Manager. The Junior Bid Manager will play a key role in their ongoing success and will come with a defined career path to Bid Manager in place.
The job role will include but wont be limited to:
- Actively sourcing PQQ and tender opportunities, including the monitoring of tender alert systems
- Logging tenders on internal systems
- Summarising tender packages for review by the wider team
- Assisting the commercial department with tender preparations
- Submission of PQQs and tenders, and recording of same
- Following up on submitted PQQs and tenders
- Carrying out tender debriefs to ensure continual improvement
- Bid Writing – Working with technical experts within the company to develop and compile excellent bid submissions
- Providing input to, and aiding the implementation of, the company Marketing Strategy
- Working with the wider Commercial and Bid Teams to maximise lead generation
- Attendance at events and exhibition stands and trade shows/events
- Maintaining and updating of databases, e.g. projects/case studies, etc.
Requirements:
- Ideally possess a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ideally possess experience in public sector tendering
- Ideally some experience within the M&E, Maintenance, Facilities Management or Energy related industries
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Excellent personal organisation, honesty, communication, ownership, reliability and dependability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Excellent interpersonal skills to create meaningful reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients
- Be able to work on own initiative and show willingness to progress within the business
- Ability to demonstrate good team ethos
- IT literate, e.g., proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar Desirable

- Basic salary in the region of £35k - £40k (negotiable depending on experience)
