Our client a fashion retailer is looking for a Buying Assistant for their Ladieswear division to join the business, this is a role which would suit a recent Fashion Graduate or a Buying Assistant looking for a fresh challenge.
The role is largely admin based; however, you will play an active role in the buying process.
Duties & Responsibilities for a Buying Assistant
- Provide administration support to the Buyers
- Collation of reports and sales information
- Critical path management
- Working cross functionally with internal departments to ensure smooth running of the day to day buying function
- Management of samples and the image bank.
- Competitor analysis
- Awareness of upcoming trends
- Working closely with the supplier base
Skills & Abilities for the Buying Assistant.
- Have impeccable time management and communication skills.
- Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook programmes
- Display an organised and proactive way of working with great attention to detail.
- Able to work on your own initiative and take ownership of you departmental responsibilities.
- Work across functions effectively -e.g, marketing , QC and merchandising
- Passionate about product and product development
- Able to implement new and innovative ways of working to improve processes
This role would suit a team player with a positive attitude who is prepared to roll their sleeves up and lead by example, as well as encompassing "The fabric of the business".
