We are looking for a Buying and Merchandising Admin Assistant to ensure that we have the right product in the right place and at the right time to support our exciting company growth plans. This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate and dynamic individual looking to start their career in buying and merchandising in a fast-growing business.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, agile and enthusiastic about driving sales opportunities through assortment building future ranges and optimising current inventory. You will work in conjunction with teams throughout the business including retail, ecommerce, wholesale, brand and logistics, overseeing intake and deciding where best to allocate the stock once it arrives.
Requirements
Key accountabilities will be:
Trading & Planning
- Understanding how to read the Monday trade reports, conduct weekly site walks and interpret the data and make suggestions to optimise sales.
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of our stock management system to ensure planning and trading is managed accurately with full visibility of stock levels and expected delivery dates.
- Compiling weekly stock allocations to replenish best sellers and allocate any new product.
- Attending weekly store trade meetings and regular store visits to build a clear understanding of the stock package requirements of each store’s customers.
- Supporting the range build process, preparing sales information and samples accurately to the highest presentation standards.
- Raising and distributing purchase orders
Intake
- Attending weekly supplier critical path meetings ensuring ex-factory and expected delivery dates are accurate in relevant systems and stakeholders are updated.
- Overseeing intake into both our UK and EU DC. Approving packing lists, booking and approving quotes from freight forwarders selecting the most cost effective method of transport to meet required intake dates.
Communication and development
- Key point of contact throughout the business for any stock queries and sample requests.
- Working alongside the production assistant managing samples for Press and Creative.
- Seeks learning opportunities and initiates own development
