Job description

We are a small close-knit development team with a very supportive and collaborative culture with a focus on personal development. We are looking for a mid-level C# Web Developer to join us on our journey.

As a C# Web Developeryour responsibilities will include developing new applications, adding new features to existing applications, bug fixing/maintenance and contributing to initiatives to improve our development practices, processes, and technology.

Alongside business-driven features and projects, we are also working on a series of projects to update our technology, including but not limited to C# 12, .NET 8, React, containerisation with Docker, RESTful APIs and Azure Functions. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with some of the most popular new technologies in web development and influence the future of technology at reallymoving.

We welcome applications from remote candidates living in the UK and candidates who are located near to our offices in St Albans, Hertfordshire to work on a hybrid basis.



The key skills and experience we’re looking for:

We don’t expect candidates to meet all the criteria below so if you are missing a few things, we’d still like to hear from you!
  • Sound commercial experience in C# web application development, .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 6 and above
  • Confident with SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Solid experience creating and integrating with REST/RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Some knowledge of dependency injection
  • Proficient in writing unit tests
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and source control
  • Proven knowledge of web application security best practice (OWASP)
  • Some JavaScript and jQuery experience
  • A firm grasp of SOLID principles and their application
  • Experience working in an agile (Scrum) environment.
  • Great communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A passion for web development and keeping up to date with technology.
Additional skills and experience that will be useful to us.
  • Creating and working with Azure Functions and other Azure services
  • Umbraco Heartcore/Cloud or other headless CMS platforms
  • Kentico CMS
  • Containerisation with Docker
  • Writing integration tests
  • W3C compliant HTML
  • ASP.NET web forms (for legacy support)
  • React
