Studio Mate is a modular, compact, multi functional storage unit. Each unit has a chair, drawer and removable storage. When four units are joined, a table can also be stored.
First designed in 2006 by Giles Wilson Copp, our director, the Studio Mate project won the Young Designers Award (2007) and a Homes & Gardens 100% Futures Award (2008).
In the last 15 years, Giles has made several prototypes which gained interest from John Lewis and the designs were briefly licensed to Studio Caparo.
Giles is now looking to create the Final prototype, the Studio Mate mark 4, which he plans to take to market and has several artisans signed up to help fabricate.
In order to get this prototype into production we need help from a CAD whizz to help us separate out and add to SolidWorks Files.
