Role Overview:
We're seeking an Electrical CAD Technician with expertise in block cable diagrams, substation layouts, and SLDs to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with great benefits, including free parking at our Blackburn office, and a competitive salary of up to £40k for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Convert hand-drawn or electronic sketch designs into CAD format.
- Provide electronic and paper drawings for engineering purposes.
- Manage and update project design drawings, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety protocols, reporting any incidents or near-misses.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, maximizing profit.
- Provide technical direction to less experienced team members.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Understanding of electrical network design and technical drawings.
- ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in Electrical Protection & Control Diagrams (SLD’s, KLD’s & Block Cable Diagrams). Knowledge of document issues and control methodology.
- Familiarity with electricity asset data records (GIS) and relevant specifications.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a customer service environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP-based systems.
