Hours: 37 hours a week, 7:00am-15:00pm & 15:00pm-23:00pm on a rota 5 out 7 days

This is your chance to work as part of a professional team dealing with a diverse customer base, including vulnerable and older adults. As part of the Carelink team you will provide computerised call handling services and respond to emergency situations.
Customers activate a support call at any time 24/7 via the alarm unit installed in their own home and or the sensors attached to it.
As a Call Handler Responder, you will then discuss and assess the nature of the emergency and will action an appropriate response. Responding yourself if required.
In the case of a serious emergency, the emergency services will also be contacted.
Call Handler Responders also lift uninjured customers using specialist equipment and carrying out safe and well checks in support of vulnerable people living in the community.
Other duties will include installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in customer’s homes and undertaking annual visits.
You will be part of a team working day and afternoon shifts on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.

This is a permanent position pending an Achieving Change working 37 hours per week

Based at Kedleston Road, Derby Carelink is 24-hour emergency monitoring and response service that ensures vulnerable people have access to support at the end of the telephone or at the touch of a button whenever they need it. We also offer a range of other technologies to protect our customers in an emergency.
