Job Title: CAMHS Registered Mental Health Nurse (days and nights) Location: Accrington, BB5 Salary: £33,000 to £40,000 per year Job type: Full time, Permanent contract (38.5 hours/ week) Shift pattern: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Are you kind? The role: You'll be confident in assessing a variety of acute and complex Mental Health issues as well as collaboratively planning and implementing treatment. You'll be familiar with multi-agency working and have a clear understanding of the importance of family involvement. We are looking for a highly skilled communicator who can relate to young people and involves them in all aspects of their care. You'll have worked in a least-restrictive environment. You will have worked with patients who present with complex needs and challenging behaviours and are confident in using de-escalation skills. You'll be resilient and a team player and can work under pressure. The role is rewarding and a privilege to be able to play a part in the recovery of a young person and support discharge back into the community. Key responsibilities: * Engaging young people and developing therapeutic relationships * Supporting young people through therapeutic interventions/programs * Escorting and supporting young people in the community * Attending meetings to share feedback about young person's presentation * Completing records and notes in accordance with policy * Safeguarding young people * Care planning * Medication management * Risk assessment and risk management * Encouraging the young person to engage with their weekly timetable * Providing stimulating activity * Life skills development The Company: * Aaban is a unique in-patient Mental Health service for young people that blends psychological, psychotherapeutic and psychosocial support with pharmacological treatment * We are a fully integrated multi-disciplinary health and social care service that is entirely focused on supporting young people to achieve long-term, sustainable and imaginative treatment plans * A very rewarding role in the sense that you are able to see the progression and support recovery * Plenty of training and development opportunities including DBT * We have seen a number of our staff progress in their careers whilst working for Aaban * Training opportunities such as PAS, DBT skills, ILS, PBS, Relational Security, Attachment and Trauma, autism and Safeguarding. * Aaban Partnership Ltd is a new and exciting service offering high-quality specialist Mental Health services for young people with complex needs. Aaban Partnership Ltd has two CQC regulated bespoke built 10 bedded units offering Assessment, Stabilisation, treatment, and intervention for young people aged 12 -18 years. * Providence Unit (Assessment and Stabilisation Unit) and Moira Unit (Treatment and Intervention Unit) are both open and operational and we require passionate, committed, hard-working healthcare support workers to work as part of our team.
