The Opportunity:
We have an incredible opportunity within Clarion Retail - home, of five prestigious market-leading events in the UK; Top Drawer Spring, Top Drawer Autumn, Home & Gift, January Furniture Show, Manchester Furniture Show, plus REVEAL which is our new 365 digital platform for the Retail industry.
We are seeking an experienced Campaign Marketing Manager with a passion for events (and love of retail!) who thrives in a team, working under pressure and at pace. From the start, you will support and develop your team alongside working on your own campaign planning and delivery. You will collaborate with marketing teams, to trial and implement new initiatives and best practice, within an exciting environment and fantastic culture.
You will be joining the business at a pivotal time and play a crucial role as we develop and accelerate the business beyond events, seeking to solve our customer’s problems across a multi-channel approach. Combining new technologies and our ambitious growth plans it is a fantastic time to be joining both this portfolio and Clarion Events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meticulously plan and execute a range of compelling customer focused annual marketing campaigns that are data lead, in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Show Manager.
- Define, measure, and analyse the success of all campaign activity owning KPI’s and reporting.
- Delivery of campaigns within budget, providing accurate forecasts and ensuring return on marketing spend.
- Collaborating with marketing teams to complete full data audit and gap analysis, shaping the data acquisition strategy for each campaign.
- Define database selections, enabling relevant messages target segmented audiences, ensuring analysis of real time engagement and effectiveness of all channels.
- Writing copy and proofreading promotional activity, adapting the correct tone of voice to the relevant persona.
- Keep informed and up to date on changes to data privacy and relevant data regulations.
- Introduce new technologies and tools to develop bespoke marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create campaigns that meet their commercial objectives and KPIs, ensuring conversion rates for MQLs to SQLs are managed and maintained.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry and marketing insights to share internally.
- Build, coach, and mentor a high performing marketing team of three marketing executives to ensure their optimum output.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- A proven track record of implementing successful segmented promotional campaigns that drive growth.
- Excellent knowledge of best practice across promotional channels including email, social media, paid media, websites and chatbots.
- People management and the ability to motivate, train and coach the team.
- Highly proactive and takes prompt action to accomplish objectives and goals beyond what is required, with energy and tenacity.
- Highly analytical and inquisitive with the ability to interpret data and convert into actionable insight.
- Working knowledge of current marketing technologies to maximum effectiveness on lead generation and a customer service perspective.
- Proven use and understanding of complex databases and segmentation techniques.
- Collaboration with sales to increase lead generation and maximise sales opportunities.
- Capabilities of marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Pardot, PowerBI and Salesforce are desirable.
- General knowledge of all GDPR laws including preference centres and privacy policies.
- A genuine team player and collaborative in nature.
- Strong sense of personal accountability, integrity, authenticity, and honesty.
- Results-focused, able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics.
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
