Campaigns Manager

Location: Elmbank Crescent, Glasgow G2 4PT, hybrid working available
Salary: £31,145.90 plus pension and benefits.
Contract: Full time, Permanent

We are Scottish Opera; Scotland’s national opera company and we are recruiting!

We are the largest performing arts organisation in Scotland, the 2023/2024 season marks our 61st anniversary!

We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our Marketing and Communications team as our Campaigns Manager.

You will devise, plan and manage effective and creative campaigns for all areas of Scottish Opera activity with the aim of maximising ticket sales, participation, raising awareness and encouraging access and engagement across diverse audience groups.

In addition to this as our Campaigns Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development of marketing campaigns across all channels including social media, programmatic display advertising, google grants, google ads, and print.
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate social media channels including responsive community engagement.
  • Together with in-house Graphic Designers, the Content Producer and Press Manager, create eye-catching video, audio and image-based social content with well-written copy.
  • Understand the target audience groups to maximise campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with venue management, promoters, and box offices to ensure well-planned, collaborative campaign activity, accurate flow of information and fulfilment of agreed objectives for events across Scotland.
  • Drive, co-ordinate and monitor digital, social and print, ensuring a balanced distribution of work to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the in-house graphics team to develop campaign materials.
  • Maintain Scottish Opera’s tone of voice and maintain brand guidelines across all channels.
  • Proofread copy and collateral, as required.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in marketing and managing social media channels
  • Have excellent knowledge of digital marketing, in particular social media platforms
  • Have an interest in and knowledge of the performing arts and, preferably, of opera
  • Be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office, and experience of social media scheduling and a web content management system.

The ideal candidate for this role must be able to demonstrate:

  • A flexible approach to working. The postholder is required to travel from home during performance period and to attend meetings and other events outwith normal working hours
