Motor Sport Events Manager

Role: Corporate Motor SportsEvents Manager (Mat Cover)

Duration:  contract until July 2025 – start ASAP, this role will most likely move into a permanent position for the right candidate

Hours: The role is a full-time onsite position, working 5 days over 7, Core working hours 8.30-5.00 pm / naturally need the flexibility to work hours during the busy season. We give time in lieu for any overtime worked rather than additional pay

Salary: up to £37,000

 Ideal Candidate:

• Proven, seasoned, experience in the events industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a venue or contract catering background.
• A strong track record of success in managing events from conception to execution, with a focus on exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional service.
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A proactive problem-solver with the ability to think on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• Venue experience: We value candidates who have held positions as Event Managers or long-term Event Coordinators within a venue setting and possess a deep understanding of venue operations.
• Contract catering background: We are open to experienced contract caterers who have transitioned from freelance to permanent roles and possess a well-rounded skillset in event management and catering. (Freelance experience requires a strong overall understanding of catering and event management, not just event management).

This role is not suitable for recent graduates unless they have:

• Completed a relevant placement or graduate scheme within the events industry and have a stable work history in the industry
