Job Description:
A West London local authority is seeking a highly skilled Capital ProjectsProject Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and refurbishment of housing, schools, corporate buildings, and community facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Management: Lead and manage a range of new build and refurbishment projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of projects including housing planned works (structural), school condition works, corporate buildings, and community facilities.
- Consultant and Contractor Management: Procure and manage consultants and contractors effectively, ensuring all work meets project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Contract Management: Administer contracts, manage change control processes, and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and other relevant parties to ensure project alignment with community needs and expectations.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of new build development projects from initiation to delivery.
- Skills: Proven experience in procuring and managing consultants and contractors. Strong knowledge of contract management, project management, and change control.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in construction management, project management, or a related field are desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a variety of stakeholders.
