AddressOur client, the leading college based in Truro are seeking Care Assistants to support within their Progression Pathways centre on site.
The Job:
- Monday to Friday – can be flexible on working week
- £12.50 an hour
- 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Temporary position ongoing
- Based in Truro
- Weekly pay
- Accrue holiday pay
- Must have an enhanced DBS that covers children’s services Must have training in Medication and Manual handling, with some experience with the use of hoists
Key responsibilities:
- To provide support for students with special educational needs, or individuals with significant identified needs within the wider college network
- To assist the learning support assistants with the hands-on care of the students, including the use of hoists and other apparatus and all aspects of personal care
- To work in a person-centred way in partnership with the Learning Support Team to provide quality care to the students
About you:
- A warm and understanding nature
- A good sense of humour with an ability to be positive even in the face of testing situations
- Experience working with young people and adults with varying levels of specific learning difficulties, disabilities, sensory impairments and social emotional/behavioural difficulties
- Experience with all aspects of personal care
