Job Title: Care Assistant
Report to: Nurse/Registered Manager
Hours: Full or Part Time
Accountable to: Registered Manager
Main Function of the Job:
To work as a trained multi-skilled member providing various aspects of care to residents/service users.
Main Tasks:
The Care Assistant may be required to work in any department of the Home as stated below:
· Personal Care:
Assist with all daily living activities, for example, washing, dressing, toileting/incontinence and assisting with mealtimes. Follow guidelines for safe movement of clients, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
· Attend staff meetings and training sessions
· Complete all paperwork accurately
· Communicate regularly with manager/nurse
· Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company
· Obtain NISCC registration and maintain during employment
· Adhere to the NISCC codes of practice
· Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines
· Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times
· Work as part of a team
· Provide a quality service at all times

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
