The Home
Nursing home with maximum of 46 Service users. Categories of care: - Physical disability other than sensory impairment – over 65 years, terminally ill, Dementia, Mental disorder excluding learning disability or dementia.
Situated in Dungannon, BT71 7PA
The Role
To provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents of the home, supporting with their everyday needs and contributing to their enjoyment of life.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
- Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
- Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
- Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families
You will need:
- To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
- A good standard of written and oral English
- Experience in Health and Social Care not required as full training will be provided
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
