Requirements
- 4 GCSEs A-C or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a social care role.
- Valid Driver’s license is required
- Be proficient with IT systems
- NISCC registration is required
- Postgraduate training and /or experience in relevant courses
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and
compliance due to the nature of this work
- Up to date Immunization records to complete a full occupational health review
- Ability to build rapport with ease
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment
Responsibilities
- Have an understanding of how to respond and report robustly and effectively to disclosures and
concerns of abuse
- Deliver a service, which meets all organizational and professional responsibilities
- Have an awareness of policies and procedures in respect of Child Abuse Investigation and Joint
Protocol procedure
- Assist with the supervision of the young people’s clothing, furnishings and household equipment
and undertake household and domestic duties
- Support the young people by undertaking their general supervision and be involved in their
educational work and leisure activities
- Accompany the young people, when required, on leisure activities, holidays, outings and visits
including attendance at appropriate church services
- Transport young people to/ from school, on activities, outings etc.
- Promote or undertake personal care duties in the case of young people with a disability where
required
- Promote and implement a Positive Behaviour Support model and child centred approach
- Contribute to, and participate in, reviews, staff meetings, in-service training, supervision and
individual programmes of care in respect of the young people.
